Sept. 11-15, 2008: The Power of Words Conference: Liberation Through the Spoken, Written and Sung Word.
Goddard College, 123 Pitkin Road, Plainfield, Vermont Explore how we can use our words -- written, spoken or sung -- to make community, deepen healing, witness one another, wake ourselves up, and foster empowerment and transformation. Organized by Goddard's Transformativer Language Arts degree, keynotes include Walter Mosley, Bread and Puppet Theatre, Rhtyhm and Blues singer-songwriter Kelley Hunt, Poetry Therapy pioneer Sherry Reiter, and Author of Creating the Work You Love Rick Jarow, plus there's over 20 more presenters and performers.  The conference features talking circles, an open mic, celebrations, performances and the amazing beauty of Vermont during fall foliage. Caryn will be doing a pre-conference all-day workshop on Sept. 11 with Kelley Hunt called "The Unfolding Path: Making a Living Through the Work You Love."  See the Goddard conference page or the Transformative Language Arts Network for more details.

Caryn in the news: Caryn's publications and workshops have been featured in the Boston Herald, Kansas City Star, Washington Post, Syracuse Herald-Journal, Writers Weekly, Scholastic, Seventeen, and strangely enough, Cosmo Girl . Below are articles that are the most easy to access (e.g. no fee to read on-line):
